Hardware Policies

All hardware purchased through Computer Consultants Exchange will ship FREE of charge, to the continental US (Additional charge for Hawaii and Alaska shipments). Items will ship to arrive in 3-5 business days. Technical support will be provided for hardware purchased through Computer Consultants Exchange only. Please see below for a list of compatible hardware.

In the event the hardware was purchased through a third party and it is not covered in our hardware policy, we recommend contacting The Computer Peeps (please see the link to the right) for assistance with your hardware.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT RETURNS:

No returns (all sales final upon ordering) on supplies (such as: paper, labels, ribbons), printer parts (such as: interface cards), and/or specialty items (items not listed on our website). For all other items, ALL SALES ARE FINAL AFTER 20 DAYS FROM INVOICE/SHIP DATE. Reporting a DOA (dead on arrival) or requesting a return is TIME SENSITIVE (10 days for DOA's / 20 days for Returns or Exchanges). Returns, regardless of the nature, require ALL original manufacturer packaging and parts and are subject to restock fees. DO NOT MARK MFG PACKAGING OR MANUALS AT ALL. When contacting us please have your invoice number available. Returns must be authorized beforehand. Unauthorized returns will be refused. All returns are subject to restocking fees.

Hardware:

Metrologic 9540 barcode scanner (Most scanners are compatible; we do not recommend used or refurbished scanners)  

Star TSP 100 or 600 thermal receipt printers (along with the majority of Epson receipt printers)

MMF Star compatible cash drawer or Epson cash drawer

Zebra 2824 or 2844 thermal tag printers

Printers: The majority of inkjet/laser printers are compatible with the software. While HP printers will work with the software, some HP printers do not contain all of HP’s drivers needed to run with the software.

If you are receiving a ‘Sub-spooler application’ message, please try the following:

1. Go to www.hp.com and download the HP DeskJet 990C driver

2. This driver will show-up in your Control panel under Printers (to access your Control panel, go to start on the lower task bar, then to control panel, then open up Printers)

3. After you have downloaded the HP 990C driver, open up the Control Panel, then Printers and right-click on the HP990C printer and make it your Default printer. If this is done correctly, there will be a Checkmark by this printer. Make sure there is only one icon for each printer.

4. Go to the Consignment program and print an item.
